Welcome to Staff Management Utility (SMU)

The Staff Management Utility allows all Department of Education (DoE) and TAFE staff to:
  • Search for staff details such as DEC User ID, Location and Contact Details, ie. email address and phone number
Privileged users are enabled to perform various functions:
  • Reset staff passwords

  • Reset DEC User IDs

  • View SAP Employee IDs

  • View Teacher Applicants and reset their passwords

  • View Password Synchronisation reports

  • Add and remove access for specific purposes, eg

    • Casual Staff
    • Non-Government staff
    • HPERC library access
    • Registering Contractors, and Guest staff and students for Schools and TAFE

Audience

    • School Principals - Government and NonGovernment Schools
    • TAFE Business Unit Managers
    • ICT and Regional Service Desk staff
    • IT Support staff
    • Human Resources Support staff
    • Directory Administrators - Corporate and TAFE
    • NonGov Account Administrators - High Performance and PRC teams
    • Community Language Schools Account Administrators
    • DOIS Account Administrators - Corporate, Schools and TAFE

Where is it found?

All DoE and TAFE Staff have a link for SMU General Search (Read-Only) in My Websites tab in their Staff Portal.

All Privileged users have a link for SMU application in My Applications tab in their DoE Staff Portal.

Note

  • Privileged users can also use SMU General Search link from My Websites tab but will need to log in using Logon link in the left hand panel of the SMU pages.
